Netflix Expanding their Anime Library
Category : Anime, Entertain Me
In a post on Netflix’s official blog earlier this week, Lisa Nishimura, VP of Content Acquisition, announced new Instant Viewing offerings for anime fans. Netflix has steadily, albeit slowly, been building its anime genre library.
This latest news boasts a new partnership with Viz Media, allowing Netflix to provide uncut, subtitled episodes of genre favorites Bleach, Naruto, Inuyasha and more. For complete details, read the official press release from Viz Media.
In addition, Netflix has strengthened their partnership with FUNimation Entertainment to expand access to their anime titles. Netflix members will be rewarded with more popular anime shows like Fullmetal Alchemist, Trigun and Afro Samurai among others. The news may serve to calm fears after Navarre Corporation announced the $24 million sale of FUNimation Entertainment.
